Passed away peacefully at the age of 95. Born June 18, 1929 in Alma. Dear daughter of the late Joseph Smith & Grace Stewart. Married Mervyn Austin Trask in June of 1950. Merv passed away in 1982. She will be sadly missed by her loving family: son Milt and his wife Sandra, grandchildren Jodi Trask and Michael Trask (Joanna), and her three great-grandchildren Savannah & Kaylee Blacklock and Jacob Trask. Fondly remembered by her sisters & brothers in law, Susan Smith, June Trask, Joan Smith, Joan Trask, Margaret & Bert Black and Shirley & Don Riddell, as well as many nieces & nephews of three generations. Predeceased by her three brothers Earl Smith (Anita dec.), Howard Smith (Marg dec.) and Stewart Smith, as well as her mother & father-in-law Mary Gould & Austin Trask, and their family, Raymond Trask, Joyce & Gordon Montgomery, Allan Trask, Lawrence Trask, and Vern & Gail Trask. We would like to invite you to celebrate the life of our beloved Toots. We will be holding a visitation at the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home (280 St. David Street South, Fergus) on Friday evening, May 16th, from 7 to 9pm. There will also be a visitation on Saturday morning, May 17th, from 10 to 11am at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church (8 Peel Street East, Alma), with the funeral service starting at 11am. Following the service, we will proceed to the Elora Municipal Cemetery for the burial. We would be honored if you could join us for fellowship and refreshments afterwards at the Jefferson Elora Community Centre (29 David Street West, Elora).
