it is with sadness beyond measure that we announce the passing of our beloved father, born on September 2, 1937, in Guelph, on May 13, 2025, in his 88th year. Predeceased by his wife, our mother Gracie (2007), great granddaughter Sarah (2003), brothers Grant, Mike, Paul, Edward and his parents Doris and William. Survived by his bother Jean (Marie) and sister Yvonne. Exceptional father to Bernadette (Al Melanson), Denise Elizuk (Bill), John (Lisa) and Camille (Andy Croft). John was the best and most devoted grandfather to three generations of grandchildren, affectionally known as “Grumpy.” John had extensive construction experience all across the province taking immense pride in the schools and churches he had built, retiring from CRD Construction Ltd in 2007. We are very grateful to everyone who came to see our father in his last few weeks. He enjoyed the visits. We would like to acknowledge the excellent care he received from Lesley (Bayshore) and Karan (CarePartners) in his final hours.
