of R.R. #3 Palmerston passed away peacefully at the Palmerston and District Hospital on Monday, September 9, 2019 in his 67th year. Survived by his wife of 40 years Susan Hebel. Father of Morgan South of British Columbia. Survived by his mother Catherine Kirby, sisters Mary-Beth Wilson, Denise Earle and brothers Sean Kirby and Christopher Kirby. Predeceased by his father Alan South (2013). Hal was a life long mechanic and farmer; he spent his life on the land and doing the work he believed in, fixing machinery and making it work better. To honour Hal’s wishes cremation has taken place and there will be no period of visitation or funeral. Hal has put his tools away for the last time. As expressions of sympathy donations to the Palmerston Hospital Foundation or the London Cancer Centre would be appreciated by the family and can be made through the Heritage Funeral Home, Palmerston.
