ROGERSON, David George “Beaver”

of RR1 Fergus. On the evening of Friday May 24, 2019 the world lost the most incredible man and the pillar of our family. Dave, better known to others as Beaver, was working on the farm he loved preparing for spring seeding. With his tractor running beside him, his herd of cattle at the gate and his wife Patti at his side he was called home to his Maker. Born in Fergus and raised in Alma, he was a country boy through and through. His world revolved around his loving family, friends, community and love of agriculture. Dave’s accomplishments were many. He was owner of Dave Rogerson Transport Ltd., Past President of the Wellington County Plowmen’s Association, member and Leader of 4-H, Junior Farmers and Alma Young Peoples to name a few. As a young boy in Alma Public School he drew a picture of what he wanted his life to look like. That picture contained a loving family, farm, trucks and livestock. He achieved that and so much more. Dave was a fun guy and a man of many talents. His love of teaching and playing with his children and grandchildren was intertwined during his daily work routine. His caring nature to help others in need came full circle with the unbelievable kindness and support of family, friends and neighbours in our wonderful community. Dave is survived by his loving wife of 39 years Patti, and their children and spouses Lucas (Leah) Rogerson of Drayton, Meghan (Chad) Woods of Alma, Drew (Holly) Rogerson of Moorefield, Courtney (Darcy) McMorris of Kenilworth. Loved by his 8 (soon to be 9) Grandchildren, Peyton, Riley, Briar and Hunter Woods, Caitlin, Daniel, Hannah and George Rogerson and Baby (Drew & Holly) Rogerson on the way. Predeceased by his Father Robert (November 2018), Mother Jean (March 2010). Dear Brother of Cathy Nesbitt of Guelph, Pauline Halls (Ron) of Guelph, Caroline Attaway (E.B.) of Houston Tx.
