Taken into the loving arms of her saviour, surrounded by her loving family, leaving this earthly home for a heavenly home, on April 28th, 2021 in her 96th year. Lovingly remembered by her children: Wayne (Evelyn) Dowling of Mount Forest, Sandra (Milt) Trask of Elora, Rae (Lori) Dowling of Arthur, Rhonda Bye (Brad Goetz) and Dawna (Ram) Kalap of Kitchener. Gerry will be sadly missed by several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, sisters-in-law Lois Morgan and Audrey Dowling and many nieces and nephews of the Morgan and Dowling families. Gerry is predeceased by her parents Gerald and Lillian (nee: Lever) Morgan, her husbands: Garnet Dowling (1954) and Donald Quickfall (1977); son-in-law Ken Bye, Grandson Jason Dowling and great-grandson Sylas Johnston. She is also predeceased by her siblings: Ken Morgan, Inez Maier, Howard Morgan, Douglas Morgan; as well as many sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law of the Morgan and Dowling families. Due to COVID-19 restrictions a private family service was held at Henry Walser Funeral Home (507 Frederick St., Kitchener, ON, 519-749-8467).
