Age 87, passed peacefully at her home with her family by her side, October 9, 2020. Beloved wife of Robert of Fergus. Loving mother of Julie (Karl) Hamilton of Lindsay and children Laura (Matt) Saunders, Mark, and Sarah, Carol and (Paul) Hooper of Guelph and children Erin (Rob) Naraine, Nolan (Brittany) Hooper, and Bethany (Andrew) Howard, Brenda (Dave) Guthrie of Fergus and children Rachel (Dan) Croutch, Veronica (Ryan) Leacock, Melody (Fredrik) Persson, and Carla, Brian Norris (Julie Cantin) of Rockwood and children Blair, Scott, and Kate, and Sharon (Jack) Ninaber of Guelph and children Jordan (Katelyn) Ninaber, Brynley (Phil) Teri, Addison, and Rylan. Loving Grandma to 18 great grandchildren. Marion was born and raised on a farm on Middlebrook Road in Elora and is survived by her brother Cecil Wittich (Sharon), brother-in-law Guy Lee, sister-in-law Marg Wittich, Evelyn (Bert) Freiburger and Elwyn (Myrna) Wittich. Predeceased by sister Thelma Lee and brother John Wittich. Mom kept active through the years caring for her husband of 67 years and enjoying her family, neighbours, and friends. She was an active member of Bethel Baptist Church in Fergus, caring for the little ones in the nursery and helping in the kitchen as well. Many have been the recipient of her cookies and muffins which she liked to keep on hand if someone dropped by. Mom was a generous giver for many charities through the years. The funeral service for Marion took place at The Bethel Baptist Church in Fergus on Monday October 12th at 2pm with burial at Belsyde Cemetery in Fergus on Tuesday October 13th at 3pm. Arrangements are entrusted to The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus. Memorial donations may be directed to Life Outreach International, Heart and Stroke Foundation or Trust Future Uganda.
