Of Ayton passed away peacefully at home during the blizzard on Saturday, December 24, 2022 in her 67th year. Helen was the wife of Stanley Newman, and mother of Christine Newman of Ayton, Raymond Newman and Kathy McCausland of Meaford, and Brenda Newman of Ayton. Grandmother of Braden, Michael and Karson. Sister of Marilyn and Keith Damen of Listowel, Robert and Jean Clyne of Harriston, Keith and Doris Jean Clyne of Harriston, and Karen and Roy Harris of Hamilton, and sister-in-law of Cindy Clyne of Hanover, Dennis and Pat Newman of Kincardine, Kathy Morden and Brian Damm of Neustadt, Bruce Newman of Moorefield, Clare and Caroline Newman of Guelph, and Jim Leon of Hanover. Remembered by her many nieces and nephews, and their families. Predeceased by her brother David Clyne, her sister Linda Clyne, her sister-in-law Beth Ann Leon, her parents Harold and Lois (Bridge) Clyne, Stan’s parents Fred and Muriel (Keller) Newman, nephews Jamie Frank and Blane Morden, and great-nephew Kevin Newman. Helen enjoyed working and travelling with Stan to see the countryside on the feed truck. She loved scrabble, boggle and just about any card game. At Alsfeldt Church, she was involved with Sunday School, VBS and Choir, and had served on the board at Carrick Camp. Helen enjoyed visits and calls from friends and neighbours, was always happy to help wherever needed, and loved spending time with family. The family received friends at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Friday from 2:00 to 4:00 and 6:00 to 8:00pm. The funeral service was held at Alsfeldt United Church on Saturday, December 31 at 1:30pm. Interment in Ayton Union Cemetery.
