MORRISON, Mary Maureen “Moe” (Grasley)

Of Atwood, and formerly of Guelph, passed away after a courageous battle with cancer, peacefully with her daughters by her side, on Thursday June 3rd, 2021 in her 71st year. Predeceased by her first love and husband John Carlyle Campbell (1971), husband Dave “Gino” Morrison (2004), and companion Larry Breese (2016). Mother of Cheryl and Mike Mann of Gorrie, and Kimberley Ridgeway of Guelph. Loving grandmother of Erik, Zack, and Jessika. Sister of Gerry Grasley and Kate O’Conner of Belwood, and Shirley Fountain of Huntsville. Sister-in-law to Linda Breese and Garry Currie of Guelph, and Paul Campbell and Brenda Jay of Belwood. Cherished by many nieces and nephews. Loved dearly by many great friends including her partners in crime Laurie and Noel Worby, and Neil Worby, all of Guelph, who made her a suit out of bubble wrap to protect her if she fell. Godmother to Marissa and Nathan Worby, and will be deeply missed by her dear friends, Darlene, Dee, Kelly, Kim, and neighbour Betty. She was a long time employee of Bundy of Canada, worked for many years at Glengarry Industries, and retired from Riverside Glenn in Guelph. Moe loved a good joke, loved her people fiercely, was tough as nails, suffered many losses, and always had a ‘don’t let it bother you’ attitude. And, she would carry a grudge! May she rest in the peace she has earned, spread her wings, and enjoy her time with the family we miss. Until we are together again. Now raise your glasses and let’s have “One More Beer” for Moe! A Celebration of Moe’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion Colonel John McCrae Memorial Branch 234, Guelph, (57 Watson Parkway S., Guelph) on Sunday, June 5, 2022 from 2:00 until 4:00pm. Interment in Marymount Cemetery, Guelph. Memorial donations to It Takes A Village, Listowel, or Optimism Place appreciated, and may be made through the Eaton Funeral Home, Listowel.
