On Monday November 11th 2019, Manuel Madruga passed away peacefully at the age of 86. Manuel was a loving father to Carlos and Jorge Madruga and loving husband to wife Sharon O’Rourke. Manuel was born on January 11th 1933 in Pico Azores, Portugal where he was an accomplished whaler until his late 20’s. He emigrated to Canada in 1960 to provide a better life for his family. He is also survived by his sister Gisela Da Silva, grandchildren Jonathan, Brittney, Meghann, Jordan, Courtney and great grandchildren Boston and Morgan. His smile, advice, unconditional love and ability to tell it like it is will sorely be missed. Rest in peace. Visitation for Manuel was held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 280 St. David Street South in Fergus on Wednesday November 13th from 6:00 – 9:00pm and on Thursday November 14th from 10:00 – 11:00am followed by his funeral being held in the funeral home chapel at 11:00am that same day. Donations can be directed towards Groves Hospital Palliative Care.
