LLOYD, Keith

May 20, 1953 - March 15, 2023

Keith Norman Lloyd of Hampton, New Brunswick, and formerly of Brantford, Ontario, passed away suddenly at St. John Regional Hospital, St. John, New Brunswick, on Wednesday, March 15, 2023, in his 70th year. Keith is survived by his wife of 45 years, Susan (Charters) Lloyd. Beloved father of Jessica (Aaron) and James (Sarah).  Adoring grandfather to Collin, Hayden and Lane, and Jadzia, Clementine, and Cricket. Brother of Kim and Doug Dyksterhuis of Drayton, Kathy Fritz and Dave of Harriston, Karen and John Groshaw of Port Elgin, and Kelly and Jason Lawrence of Harriston, and brother-in-law of Jim and Brenda Charters of Stratford. Predeceased by his father Thomas Lloyd, mother Doris Lloyd, stepmother Marie (Anger) Lloyd, sister Brenda, and brother Mark Lloyd. Keith was born in Palmerston on May 20, 1953. He spent a number of his early years with his grandparents at the Green Lantern Restaurant in Harriston. There he later met his future bride while working with his uncle Paul.  Keith and Sue married in June of ‘77 while Keith was working at Union Carbide (Clorox Canada) in Orangeville, where he continued working until he retired in 2008. After his retirement he enjoyed many years working at the Mount Forest arena. Over the years, Keith and his family moved a number of times before Keith and Susan made what would be his final move to New Brunswick. Although he was only able to spend 1 year in New Brunswick, he loved driving around and exploring new places with Sue and the dogs. After his family his next greatest love was fishing. Over the years he taught Jess and James to fish, but his happiest day was teaching Collin to fish. Visitation was held at the Hardy-Lee Funeral Home, Harriston on Monday, March 20, 2023 from 6:00 to 8:00pm, where a private family gathering was held the following day. Interment will take place at the Harriston Cemetery. Memorial donations in lieu of flowers can be made to Canadian Diabetes Association or to Trinity Village in Kitchener.
