LEMBKE, Murray Edgar

Passed away peacefully with family by his side on Saturday, January 18, 2025 at Strathcona Long Term Care in his 80th year. Cherished husband of Rosalyn Lembke (nee Greenwood) for 61 years. Loving father of Debra Lembke of Port Elgin, Lori Fitzpatrick of California, and Jason Lembke of Markdale. Predeceased by his beloved son, Gregory Lembke (1992). Dear grandfather of David Lembke, Keegan and Everett Fitzpatrick, Ethan, Cade and Alexiis Lembke; and great-grandfather of Zayne, Otto and Ozzy Lembke. Survived by his brothers and sisters-in-law: Paul (Nancy) Greenwood, Karen (Tim) Virtanen, and Erlene Witter; as well as many nieces, nephews and their families. Predeceased by his brother Barry (Marlene) Lembke, parents Edgar and Lilly Lembke, and brother-in-law Jim Greenwood. Murray was born and raised in Ayton, Ontario. He was the owner operator of Silent Valley Park in Ayton and Silent Valley RV World in Mount Forest. In addition, he raised cattle and pigs on the family farm. Murray was a lover of all things nature and would feed the deer and birds that were frequent visitors to his backyard. He enjoyed spending time at his hunting cabin in Manitoulin and was an avid deer hunter. Murray was known for his witty sense of humour, tobacco pipe and touring in his red truck. Murray and Rosalyn had the good fortune of travelling the world and created lifelong memories together. He will live on in the hearts of his family for generations to come. Visitation will be held at the England Funeral Home, 294 Main Street South, Mount Forest, on Friday, January 24th from 4:00-7:00pm. The funeral service will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church, 552 Louisa Street, Ayton, on Saturday, January 25th at 11:00am, with visitation at the church from 10:00-10:45am. Immediately following the service, all are welcome to the church hall for refreshments and fellowship. Spring interment will be held at Trinity Lutheran Church Cemetery.
