77, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by family on February 22, 2025, in Slocan, British Columbia. Mary was a “Mom to many” and lived a life filled with love, compassion, and deep connections with family and friends. She was a devoted mother to her children, Maitlynd Haefling and Marinette Fargo. She shared a special bond with Maitlynd’s partner, Sandy Smith. Mary was a cherished Nan to her grandchildren, Griffin and Iyla Fargo. She was predeceased by her son Jeff Erwood. She had special connections with her many nieces and nephews and loved her siblings dearly. One of her favorite things was spending time at “the cottage”, creating lasting memories with her sisters. She will be deeply missed. Her kindness, compassion, and brilliant sense of humour left a lasting impact on all who knew her. Her memory will live on in the hearts of her loved ones and all who were fortunate enough to share in her warmth and care. Burial will take place at St. Peter’s cemetery in Oustic, Ontario on Thursday, April 24th at 1:00pm.
