Of RR#2 Ayton, passed away on May 29, 2025 at Louise Marshall Hospital, Mount Forest in his 83rd year. Beloved husband of Maria Ruth Torres-Jones. Predeceased by his first wife Brenda (Boyle) Jones on May 17, 2017. Loving father of Jeannette Jones and Tony Smith, Robert and Glenna Jones, Sharon Jones and Mark Szabo. Cherished grandfather of Kyle, Cody, Sarah and Benjamin. Dear brother of James & Shirley Jones, David & Donna Jones, Linda Jones Duval & Rod Brookbank (deceased), Paul & Wendy Jones, Mary & Wayne Haugh, Carol & John Memmott, Peter & Joanne Jones. Missed by brothers-in-law Dan & Pat Boyle, Charlie & Yvonne Boyle. Predeceased by his parents Clayton & Harriet (Bittorf) Jones, brother Henry & Val Jones, sons-in-law Todd Lawrence and Dave Hiller. Family and friends were called to the McCulloch-Watson Funeral Home, Durham on Sunday June 1, 2025 from 3 – 6pm. An additional visitation was held on Monday June 2, 2025 from 10 – 10:45am at the Centennial Hall, Ayton followed by the Mass of Christian Burial at St. Peter’s Catholic Church, Ayton at 11am with Father Michael Anderson who officiated. Interment in St. Peter’s Catholic Cemetery, Ayton. A time of lunch and fellowship followed at Centennial Hall in Ayton. As an expression of sympathy, memorial donations to Canadian Cancer Society would be appreciated by the family.
