In Loving Memory of Lisa Fern Henderson. With heavy hearts and deep love, we share that Lisa Fern Henderson passed away on May 27, 2025, at the age of 59. A service to celebrate Lisa’s life will be held on June 5th at 1:30pm at St. John’s Anglican Church on 36 Henderson Street in Elora, with a reception to follow at the Elora Legion. Lisa was the proud mother of Katherine Clarke (Drew), Holten Butchers, and Keaghen Butchers. She was a deeply loving grandmother to Scarlet, Lumen, Everly, Rowyn, and Natalie — each of whom brought her immeasurable joy. She is lovingly remembered by her mother Judy Martin and stepfather Dave Martin, her brother Bill Henderson, and her sister Sheri Cockerill (Jeff Lehmann). Lisa also held a special place in the hearts of her nieces and nephews: Danielle Rost (Paul), Kelly Jacobs (Wynand), Neil Cockerill (Daphne Idiz), Paige Henderson, Nick Henderson, and Ben Henderson. Lisa is preceded in death by her father William Henderson, her brother Rick Henderson and her nephew Jake Henderson. Lisa’s warmth and light touched everyone she met. Her smile could brighten even the darkest day, and her hugs were full of genuine love and comfort. She had a deep and gentle soul, and a kindness that was felt by all who had the privilege of knowing her. Lisa also shared a quiet, steady love for her animals. Especially her beloved dog, Moghra, and her cherished cats, Carl and Gwen, who brought her constant joy. Lisa is deeply missed, but her love, spirit, and the way she made people feel will live on in the hearts of those who knew her. In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations in Lisa’s memory be made to Ovarian Cancer Canada or The David Suzuki Foundation.
