Jean Haines passed away peacefully on December 20 at Groves Memorial Hospital in Fergus, at the age of 88. After being apart for just one week, Jean has gone to join her husband of 68 years, the late Ted Haines. She will be dearly missed by her children Lorna Faires (Andrew), Dan Haines (Marla), Andy Haines (Lorie), David Haines (Donna Metcalfe) and Gary Haines (Betty-Lynne). Proud Grandma of Shannon Faires, Alyssa Faires, Lisa Gailbraith (Haines), Mark Haines, Arianne Haines, Christopher Haines, Cameron Haines, Kate Varley (Haines) and Scott Haines. Jean was a longtime member and volunteer with the Victoria Park Senior’s Centre. In lieu of flowers, donations in Jean’s memory may be made to the Centre Wellington Food Bank, and are greatly appreciated by her family. Arrangements are entrusted to the Graham A. Giddy Funeral Home in Fergus.
