Of Drayton and formerly of Ajax passed away peacefully surrounded by the love of her family at Grey Bruce Hospice, Chapman House in Owen Sound on Friday May 16, 2025 at the age of 85. A loving, selfless mother, she will be forever missed by her children Scott Emmerson, Pam Donkersgoed (the late Harry Donkersgoed) and Jo-Ann McLellan (Tim Shaw). Cherished memory to her grandchildren Tosha (Jamie), Lauren (Travis), Shayne, Naya, Matthew (Marie), Crystal, Alisha (Kirsten). Precious Great grandmother of Gus, Evelyn, Russell, Julie-Ann and Landon. Fondly remembered by her nieces, nephews and many friends. To honour Ellen’s wishes cremation has taken place. A small Memorial Service of Remembrance for family, close friends and her caring community from Conestoga Crest, will be held in the Drayton Funeral Chapel on Saturday, May 24, 2025 at 11:00 followed by a period of fellowship and refreshments. In lieu of flowers donations to the Grey Bruce Hospice or the Canadian Cancer Society.
