Passed away peacefully with family by her side at St. Joseph’s on Tuesday, July 23, 2019 in her 95th year, predeceased by her beloved husband of 63 years Kenneth Eccles (2009). Loving and devoted mother of Morris (Carole) of Huntsville, Karen Zago (Dan) of Guelph and the late Betty Eccles. Will be sadly missed by her grandchildren, David Westmacott (Renee), Sarah Dyck (Paul), Robert Garner (Rosa), Stephanie Eccles, Cassandra Oravecz (Jeff), Tamara Drummond (Gary), Chad Westmacott (Chantel). GG to 11 great grandchildren whom she adored. Sister in law to Betty Switzer, predeceased by brothers Fred, Jack (Ethel), Hughie (Ila), Bob (Thelma), Bill and sister Rose Page (George). Ken and Mary left their farm in West Luther township in 1968. Mary was employed at Lorraine Shoppe for 15 years prior to retiring in 1984. She loved her family very much and enjoyed many happy times with them. She made fantastic pies and loved flowers and her vegetable garden. Friends and relatives were received at Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk Street, Guelph on Monday, July 29, 2019. Visitation at 12:00pm, service at 1:00pm followed by a reception. Interment at Mount Forest Cemetery. Many thanks to the staff at the Ellington where Mary resided. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to St. Joseph’s Health Centre Foundation, the Foundation of the Guelph General Hospital for their excellent service or a charity of your choice.
