CAMPBELL, Barbara Joanne

Of Ennotville, formerly of London, passed away in her 69th year at home on Thursday, April 29, 2021. Predeceased by parents Russell Campbell (1988) and Bessie Campbell (Miller, 2009). Sister of the late Allen Campbell (2008) survived by sister-in-law Marjorie Campbell of Glencoe. Special aunt to James, Scott and Robbie (1975). Loving great aunt to Connor and Madison. Survived by sister Jean Kent (Ted) and their children, Theresa Knierim (Paul), Brad (Marnie), Stan (Mary-Anne), Gary (Joanna), Randy (Simone), and Nora. Devoted great aunt to: Mark and Wesley; Alyssa, Anthony and Alexander; Mikayla, Autumn, Aidan and Miles; Grayson and Naomi. Special friend of Ray Jariett (2007) and his family: Joyce, Linda, Pam, Heather (Paul). Doting aunt to: Micky and Chris (Amy); Peter, Nathan (Kassy) and Drew; Dylan, Kyle (Sara), Ryan and Tyler. Adoring great aunt of Maya; Mila and Lincoln. Barb was a caring and compassionate nurse, working at Victoria Hospital and the London Health Sciences Centre in London for over thirty years, as well as a number of years in the community. After her retirement in 2013 Barb continued to have monthly lunches with her nursing friends. Barb enjoyed spending time with her family. She loved trips to Storybook Gardens, MarineLand and Canada’s Wonderland with the children. Barb was a ready babysitter for many of her family. Barb enjoyed going to Bingo games with her friends Kathy, Penny and Angela. Barb had a passion for playing cards. She loved playing cards with the Jariett family as well as with her friends, Nick and Nancy. Barb played various card games with all of her great nieces and nephews. Barb genuinely cared about the lives of all her family and friends and frequently called to ask “What’s Do’in”. Barb enjoyed spreading joy to the neighbours with the delivery of fresh strawberries in the summer. Barb was always doing something for someone else. Recently, Barb discovered the hobby of card making and enjoyed evenings out with friends creating handmade cards. Barb will truly be missed by all her family and friends. A zoom service will be held for family and friends on Saturday, May 8th at 10:00am. Guests are invited to attend remotely. Information on how to join is available in Barb’s Obituary on the Wall Custance website. Interment at Oakland Cemetery (Mosa Township) and a Celebration of Life will be held at a later date. Arrangements entrusted to the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel. Donations can be made in Barb’s name to Barrie Hill United Church (5702 Wellington County Rd. 29, Rockwood, ON, N0B 2K0) or the Canadian Cancer Society. A tree will be planted in memory of Barbara in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
