BRUBACHER (Reynolds), Susan Mary

Devoted Caregiver, Beloved Matriarch, Weaver of Warmth (and Yarn) With a tender ache in our hearts, we announce the peaceful passing of Susan Mary Brubacher — affectionately known as Sue — on June 4, 2025, at the age of 70. She is lovingly remembered by her children Sarah White and Tim Brubacher (Alisa), and her cherished grandchildren Bella and Brayden White, and Mae and Owen Brubacher, who will carry her spirit in their laughter and love. Also holding her memory dear are her sister-in-law Patty Reynolds, and her many beloved nieces and nephews: Liz (Karen), Vicki (Tyler), Angela, Shannon, Josh, Greg (Lorie), Paul (Carole) and Becky. Sue was a cherished great-aunt to Aaron, Jack, Heidi, and Bill. She is predeceased by her dear parents Angus and Ina Reynolds, and her siblings Peter (Gail), Sandra (Bill Weafer), and Rob. Sue’s love was unconditional and she accepted people as they were. She was an avid knitter, and like her handmade sweaters and blankets, she wove warmth into every life she touched. Sue was a Personal Support Worker at The Elliott Long Term Care Home, where she proudly provided not just care, but dignity and dedication to those in their twilight years. She spent many years volunteering her time to work with students at Victory Public School. Throughout her entire life Sue was a rock of support to many people when they felt that they just didn’t fit in. Friends are invited to gather and celebrate Sue’s beautiful life at the Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 206 Norfolk St., Guelph, on Sunday, June 15, 2025, at 1:00pm to 2:00pm. A service will follow at 2:00pm, with a reception afterward in the Wall-Custance Family Reception Centre. The family would like to extend their deepest gratitude to the extraordinary staff and volunteers at Hospice Wellington for their exemplary care, compassion, and humanity during Sue’s final days. Donations in Sue’s memory may be made to Hospice Wellington so that others may experience the same tender dignity she received. Arrangements entrusted to Wall-Custance Funeral Home & Chapel, 519-822-0051 / www.wallcustance.com. A tree will be planted in memory of Susan M. Brubacher in the Wall-Custance Memorial Forest.
