Passed away peacefully at The St. Joseph’s H.C. in Guelph in her 86th year. Gerry was predeceased by her husband Russell Airdrie in 2011. Mother to Ida (Michael) Bruni, Carol (Rob) Walton, David (Angie) Airdrie and Ross Airdrie. She was the proud grandmother to Matthew (Jess) Bruni, Lucas (Cindy) Bruni, Nicholas Airdrie, Melissa Airdrie, Chloe Airdrie, Dustin and Ashleigh and great grandmother to Bianca, Elia and Caprice Bruni. Survived by her brother Morley (Marie) Rogers and predeceased by brothers Royden (Helen), Lorne (Margo), Ralph (Dorothy) and sister Shirley (William) Hepburn. Visitation was held at The Graham Giddy Funeral Home, 37 Church Street East, Elora on Wednesday January 4th between the hours of 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Her funeral will be held at the Hope Springs Church (formerly Elora United Church) 75 Geddes Street, Elora on Thursday January 5th at 11am followed by burial at The Elora Municipal Cemetery. Reception to follow back at Hope Springs Church basement. The family has requested that you consider donations to be directed towards The Alzheimer Society in lieu of sending flowers.
