Missing boy found quickly at neighbour”™s home

A young boy reported missing from his home here last weekend was found safe and sound a short time later at a neighbour’s house.

On Aug. 30 at about 7:30am Wellington County OPP officers responded to a report of a missing four-year-old boy from a residence on King Street in Mount Forest.

Police say the boy, last seen in his bed at 10:30pm on Saturday night, was missing when his parents went to check on him at 7am on Sunday morning.

Uniform officers, along with the Emergency Response Team, Canine Unit and the Wellington County OPP Crime unit assisted with the investigation.

The area was searched and the child was located at a neighbour’s residence at approximately 8:42am “safe and in good health,” police say. “Foul play is not suspected.”
