Minto 81’s earn split in first two games

PALMERSTON – The Minto 81’s opened the 2021-22 WOAA Senior AA hockey season with a 5-0 win on home ice over the Shelburne Muskies.

Rookie netminder Dan Dekoning posted the shutout for the Train in the game played Oct. 9 at the Palmerston and District Community Centre.

The team dropped a 6-2 decision in road game against the Clinton Radars on Oct. 15.

The 81’s next action is on Oct. 22 at 8:30pm in Shallow Lake against the Crushers.

The team’s next home game is slated for Oct. 23 at 7:30pm against the Durham Thundercats.
