Marlins host Midget provincial qualifier

The weekend of July 24 to 26 will be alive with fastball action at the Barb Wright Diamonds in Palmerston.

The Palmerston Marlins U-18 Midget Ladies team will be hosting the PWSA qualifying tournament for the midget division. Teams from Cambridge, Desboro, Guelph, Kitchener, London, North Oxford, Palmerston and Windsor will by vying for the championship title.

The tournament seeds teams for their position at the provincial tournament held in August in Ancaster and from the provincial tournament to the eastern championships in PEI in August.

Teams are encouraged to “Strike Out Breast Cancer” by showing their support by wearing pink on Saturday.

The Marlins are well known for their teal uniforms – but look for their hot pink jerseys on Saturday.

A food booth will be run by the Palmerston Optimist Club.

There is no admission cost for this weekend of fastball.

The Marlins play their first game on July 24 at 9pm.
