Mapleton township office closed to public due to staff COVID-19 cases

Temporary office closure expected to extend until May 24

In a press release issued on May 16, township officials state, “Effective today, to protect public health and safety and the health safety of the staff at the Township of Mapleton, the administrative office is closed to the public, with minimal staff, until Tuesday, May 24, 2022.”

“We’ve had a few people testing positive and of course, in an abundance of caution, we want to protect our staff as well as the public,” Mapleton CAO Manny Baron told the Advertiser.

Anyone requiring an in-person appointment at the office, is advised to call in advance to make arrangements prior to visiting the municipal office.
