Man charged in armed robbery last summer

MINTO – Police have arrested a suspect in connection with an armed robbery last summer at the Greenbush gas bar here.

On July 20, 2018 at about 4am, Wellington County OPP responded to the gas station, located on Highway 9 between Harriston and Clifford.

“A lone suspect arrived on a motorcycle and entered the gas bar brandishing a shotgun,” police stated in a press release. “The suspect was last seen fleeing northbound on Highway 9 towards the village of Clifford.”

Justin James Patrick Horrigan, 25, of Fordwich, was arrested and charged with robbery with a firearm, wearing a disguise with the intent to commit an indictable offence, breach of probation and failing to comply with a recognizance. He was held for bail.
