FERGUS – Staff and board members cut the ribbon on the new CT scanner at Groves Memorial Community Hospital on March 3.

FERGUS – Didn’t get to see Taylor Swift in concert? Doll Haus Events and the Fergus Grand Theatre had locals covered as they presented a Taylor Swift tribute drag show at the theatre on March 1, featuring Anne Tique Doll and Ultraviolet.

FERGUS – Molly Wilson brought her show Molly’s Comedy Cabaret to the Fergus Grand Theatre on Feb. 28 as part of the theatre’s Presenting Series.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – The Christian Fellowship Group at Centre Wellington District High School recently organized a diaper drive to support the Wellington Pregnancy Care Centre (WPCC).

FERGUS – Dancers from Blue Bonnet Lassies School of Highland Dance attended the Western Ontario Highland Dancers Association  Tri-Cities competition on March 1. 

FERGUS – The Victoria Park Seniors Centre hosted the annual Active Living and Retirement show at the Centre Wellington Community Sportsplex in Fergus on Feb. 28.

ELORA – Third time’s a charm! The Boo Radley Project’s annual curling tournament is back. Wellington County’s art-rock indie-funk septet, The Boo Radley Project, will be taking over the sheets at the Elora Curling Club for their third annual Boospiel curling tournament on March 15.

ELORA – The township will pay its own way as it cleans up an unoccupied building in downtown Elora that collapsed last week.

FERGUS – Patients had to be moved to a different wing, but no one was injured in a fire at Groves hospital on Sunday morning. Emergency crews responded to the hospital shortly after 7am on March 2.
