Local Tim Hortons Smile Cookies support CFGW’s Food and Friends program

Smile and say ‘cookie’ – Twenty-seven Tim Hortons restaurants in Guelph and Wellington County are selling Smile Cookies this week, with proceeds going to the Children’s Foundation of Guelph and Wellington’s Food and Friends program. The program brings meals and snacks to kids at school and supplements nutrition for 20,000 children whose families have trouble putting food on the table.

Last year, Smile Cookies raised $113,000 for Food and Friends. Volunteers are now allowed back in schools and the food program is looking for volunteers. Anyone interested in volunteering can email jodi@childrensfoundation.org. Here, participating franchise owners, Children’s Foundation staff and board members, and Guelph Mayor Cam Guthrie kick off the week at the Tim Hortons at Paisley and Imperial roads in Guelph on Sept. 19.
