Tax break

Dear Editor:

I must admit I am sometimes confused by our tax laws.

The Conservative candidate has indicated they wish to help small businesses and farmers by reducing the tax rates on corporations. But many small businesses and famers do not have holding corporations. Instead it is the wealthy who seem to set up small corporations and it is the wealthy who put their investments into holding companies and then enjoy profits at a lower rate.

It is disappointing to see this kind of deception presented by a political party.

I would prefer a straightforward, clear and simple tax break such as the Liberals implemented for the middle class bracket. It was a 1.5% reduction for that bracket only. I know who will have my vote.
