Thank you very much for printing the (May 30) commemoration section of the 75th anniversary of D-Day in your greatly appreciated Wellington Advertiser.
I am very angry when I read in other newspapers how politicians are treating our Second World War veterans who liberated Holland, where I was born.
I hereby challenge all politicians and wannabes to tell all of us what they will do to rectify this disgraceful intolerable situation.
I called Lloyd Longfield’s office twice demanding, not asking, that this inhumane situation be corrected without delay and never heard back from him. I hereby challenge all of those who want our votes soon. I will let your paper know what response we get from them if any. A once proud Canadian…
