Oil and gas needed

Dear Editor:

RE: OPINION: Sacrifices have no perceptible impact on climate change, Jan. 30.

Here, here to  Gwyn Morgan for writing the first sensible article about climate change for a very long time.

If we are going to take action on climate change and spend millions of taxpayer dollars doing it, let’s base it on the facts. Lets us not talk the nonsense of “climate emergency” – alarmist chatter helps no one!

The world needs oil and we pull it out of the ground better and cleaner than any other country, why not Canadian oil and, maybe more importantly, natural gas.

Commercially viable alternatives are years away; we need oil and natural gas to run our lives until that time.

Thanks for publishing Gwyn’s opinion. I read my Advertiser every week, keep up the good work!
