Music madness

Dear Editor:

RE: Cancellation of the music program at Wellington Heights Secondary School in Mount Forest.

Every school should provide a music program at all cost. It makes no difference what music they play.

It is not up to the school or teachers to force music from the curriculum. This makes no sense. The school board is forcing increasing limitations on students.

The teachers in Grade 8 classes like to offer art or music, but they themselves made sure that the student does not play instrumental music.

I am asking all families of all these students to stop this school from closing this program. The music department needs to create a safe space for musical-minded students to practice without hindrance.
