Hearts for hospital

Dear Editor:

I consider myself very blessed to live in this area. One of the really important services in a community is a good hospital. The people of this area have been extremely generous in contributing in a multitude of ways to the old hospital and now the new one.

The New to You store in Fergus is a very special thrift store where you can find just about anything. The product is clean, sometimes new, great shape, and a bargain value. There are 150 volunteers who take in donations, clean and repackage items , price items and sell products.

An additional 125 people volunteer right on site at Groves hospital helping to feed patients, bring warm blankets, welcome visitors, stock/sell at the gift shop and serve various other duties.

I just want to thank this wonderful community for the donations at the New To You store. Proceeds go directly to the hospital.

If you’ve ever wondered how to make a difference in people’s lives and this community, the store and hospital can use volunteers now!

A big thank you to every volunteer now and in the past and to everyone who has donated product to the New To You. We appreciate your caring and you are making a difference in people’s lives!

My mom always said “donating your time is one of the most valuable things you can do.” I agree with mom!

Come and join us if you have the time; we have a great group of volunteers who have a lot of fun and great big hearts!
