Kudos to Ron Moore for taking personal action concerning his energy uses. I started doing similar things almost 20 years ago with the building of our house using ICF construction.
Looking at the investments he made with solar panels, batteries and a new vehicle, the return on investment for a greater pay back on carbon tax would take a few years to realize.
I am not sure he took full account of the money he spent verses the money he received back from carbon tax rebate. Not saying it doesn’t work but the money spent up front and change of lifestyle usually takes more than a year to see actual savings.
There is no argument that making investments in energy savings is the smart thing to do, I have my doubts about the actual benefit of the carbon tax system. We will see.
