Re: Family and Children’s Services recognizes October as Child Abuse Prevention Month, October 23

A special thank you to Michael House and Family and Children’s Services! You are there for the children and teens, supporting them when their family cannot or will not. Family is the most important thing in life, yet some people don’t understand that and they willingly hurt those around them. It is these people that make your place in society a must. Thank you for filling that role.

Let the awareness grow! To repeat what the article already said, if you’re worried about a child it’s really important and it’s your duty to call the Family and Children’s Services and let them know of your concerns. Trust your gut! If you feel something is wrong, don’t hesitate to pass on your suspicions. I know you would rather them to actually be fine, then to not say something and later find that they were truly in trouble. Reach out to each other and help one another. Let faith in humanity be restored for all those who have been hurt.
