A huge thanks to the Fergus Elora community for their support of the 6th annual Daniel Koop Soccer Tournament. This event, organized by Dave and Wendy Smith, honours our son who struggled with depression and died in 2010. It is a tribute to his passion for soccer and kids, and it raises funds for schools in El Salvador through the local organization CanTeach. This year we raised $1800 through registrations and our yearly raffle. We are so grateful to our family and friends, and other community supporters. Donors of wonderful raffle prizes this year were: Arkel, Box Social, Desert Rose, Drimmies Florist, Elora Bread Trading Co., Elora Brewing Co., Epiphany, Honeychurch Lane, I Love Chocolate, Jammed Lovely, Karger Gallery, Neob Lavender, Planet CPU, Pod, ReFIND Salvage, Roxanne’s Reflections, Sante Elora, Sarvanga Fitness, Shoppers Drug Mart Elora, The Grape House, Village Kids and Wreckless Eric’s. What an amazing community!
