Two conclusions from the paper on climate consensus studies by Cook et al. (2016) are: 1) Depending on how you measure the expert consensus, it’s somewhere between 90% and 100% that agree humans are responsible for climate change, with most of our studies finding 97% consensus among publishing climate scientists. 2) The greater the climate expertise among those surveyed, the higher the consensus on human-caused global warming.
Marc Morano’s work on debunking climate change has been supported by ExonMobil and Chevron. Morano was the Communications Director for Senator James Inhofe from 2006 to 2009. Senator Inhofe has received more in donations from the oil and gas sector than any other senator.
Too bad that advocates for the planet don’t have such deep pockets available as do the advocates for the fossil fuel industry!
