Dear Editor,
My name is Danika and I am a grade 8 student from John Black P.S. I am writing about how there are still women around in the world in the private sector that are still getting paid less than men. The fact that it’s 2018 and this is still happening disgusts me! I think that there is no reason for men to be getting paid more because of their gender. Woman work equally as hard! For every dollar that a man makes a woman only earns 74 cents of that, even if they’re doing the same job! Did you know that there are more CEO’s named John than there are women CEO’s!?
These companies are really missing out on the amazing qualities that women have! For example, recent studies show that 51 418 leaders in the U.S and internationally find that women are considered more effective leaders than men. My question to workers in the private sector how do you think your company could be positively affected if you had a women leader?
