Letter to the Editor
I find the garbage/recycling calendar that is sent around every year by Wellington County very useful. And the pictures in the calendar showing local scenes are quite attractive. But it was a special treat to see the barn pictured in the February calendar. This is a historic Arthur area barn that was built in the 1920’s and used for many years as a flax mill. More recently, it served a multitude of other uses including housing, cows, chickens, pigs, hay and it even served as a small engine repair shop.
Thank you, Wellington County, for reminding us in pictures of what beautiful and historic part of the province we live in!
