My name is Rosie and I go to John Black Public School. I’m writing about the idea of not failing students in elementary school. I know that they can fail students in high school, so why not in elementary? One thing I notice, for example, is that some students are not at the learning level of the grade they are in. Some struggle with reading and math, and other subjects. If they repeated a grade they would have more time to practice and get up to the next grade level. I think your learning shouldn’t be so much about friends, it should be about the academics. If you are not up to the grade level you are at in high school you will fail, so you would have to retake the course anyways. Students should be taught at their own level as opposed to moving on whether they are ready for it or not.
