We have restored our 1840’s log house, so I know of which I speak. Rot or missing walls are not a good sign if you have a log building! I would suggest that the owner of what remains of the little school house on McNab in Elora be allowed to take it down, labelling the logs so that when council makes up its mind as to where it should go and how half a building without the original roof should be displayed… it can happen. It is not fair to the owner to make him wait for the decision! There are many of us who would agree to store the logs until then.
