A group of parents working for Canadian Parents for French have developed a public survey which is outlined in our offical release statement below. I have attached the survey link to this email kindly let me know if it opens properly. We would appreicate you publishing our release in you print and or online newspaper. We are trying to reach out to familes that would be impacted by the possiblity of a French Immersion Enrollment Cap and are seeking their imput.

A Working Group is trying to connect with past, present and future parents to ask some questions and influence the direction of French as a Second Language in our communities. The survey is anonymous and will help inform presentations to the Upper Grand District School Board Trustees.

“The survey that the Board’s Committee sent out was not about the recommendations to cap or decrease the minutes of French instruction”, says Lindsay Glavaz , one of the Working Group parent volunteers of Canadian Parents for French. “The survey mined for the things that parents did not like about their child’s French education and then used this as a rationale for the recommendations.”

The Working Group has prepared an on line survey that asks questions that are specifically related to enrolment caps, and about the strength of the value of French language instruction in choosing an education pathway.
