Kinsmen offer annual Christmas tree sales

The Fergus and District Kinsmen are once again selling Christmas trees  for charity.

This year, proceeds from tree sales will be going to support Groves Memorial Community Hospital in Fergus.

Customers looking for a fresh tree will want to shop early while all sizes and shapes are still available.

Through a partnership with Walmart, the Kinsmen will be selling their trees from the Walmart Garden Centre on weekdays from 6 to 9pm, and on weekends from 9am to 6pm.  Trees are $40, taxes included.

Because Christmas trees can’t last forever, the Fergus and District Kinsmen will also be collecting all trees through a  curbside collection – for a donation to the Centre Wellington Food Bank – on Jan. 10.

This holiday season locals can support two great charities simply by enjoying a real Christmas tree, officials state.
