Kate Schutt plays Nov. 21 at Co-operators Hall

River Run Centre invites one of Guelph’s  singer-songwriters Kate Schutt, to perform in the Co-operator’s Hall on Nov. 21 at 8pm.

Schutt was raised in Chadds Ford, Pennsylvania, and educated in Boston, at Harvard, where she studied the influence of jazz on modern poetry, and at Berklee College of Music, where she studied jazz guitar.

Attracted to the music scene of Guelph, she made it her home in 2004. With numerous releases, including No Love Lost and Telephone Game, Schutt has carved out a niche for herself in the jazz world as a singer, songwriter, arranger, and guitarist of rare skill and authenticity.

Schutt is the second performance in River Run Centre’s Borealis Guelph Music Series lineup for 2008-2009, highlighting Guelph’s own artists.

Tickets are on sale at the box office. Adults range from $30 to $40 with discounts available for students and seniors. All tickets may be purchased online at www.riverrun.ca, by phone at 519-763-3000 or at the box office from 11am to 6pm, Monday through Saturday.
