IPM cookbook launch set for July 18

The 2016 International Plowing Match & Rural Expo 2016 Cookbook Committee is ready to unveil the souvenir cookbook A Fresh Taste of Farming.

The unveiling will take place on Saturday July 18 from 10am to 2pm at Flowers to Fragrance Lavender Farm. For $20, guests are invited to tour the lavender farm, enjoy light refreshments and listen to The Fair Wind Celtic Quartet. Guests will receive a cookbook and goody bag with event entry.

“We sincerely thank all of the community members who created this cookbook by sharing their recipes. We are proud that it represents a collaboration across all communities in Wellington County.”

The cookbook contains over 500 tried and true classic recipes as well as new favourites. Also included are feature recipes from some of Wellington County’s local food producers. Cookbooks will be available for purchase after July 18 in various locations, as well as from any committee member. Visit www.plowingmatch.org for a list of committee members and locations.
