Minto approves lower speed limit in area near Pike Lake

MINTO - Minto council has approved lowering the speed limit, from 80 to 60km/h, on Pike Lake Road from Highway 89 to the 12th Line of Minto, and on the 12th Line from Pike Lake Road to Wellington Road 6.

LED sign to be installed at Palmerston Lions Park

PALMERSTON - The Town of Minto will assist community groups with financing an Electronic LED sign to be placed at the front of the Palmerston Lions Heritage Park.

Electric vehicle charge stations planned for municipal facilities

MINTO - Minto council has authorized the installation of four electric vehicle charging stations at municipal facilities through the province’s Electric Vehicle Workplace Charging Incentive Program.

MINTO - On June 30 at 11pm, emergency crews responded to a serious collision involving an ATV on the 13th Line here.

Memorial ball tournament planned in Palmerston

Palmerston - Two local youths are planning a fundraising ball tournament in memory of a friend who passed away earlier this year. Sisters Chloe White and Kyla Soehner of Palmerston are organizing Pitch for Lex in memory of their friend Lexi Brown, of Wingham who passed away on Feb. 28. Proceeds from the event will go to the the Tanner Steffler Foundation, a Huron County-based mental health advocacy organization providing supports for youth.
