Township plans Made in Mapleton pop up shop

MAPLETON - The Township of Mapleton is getting set to go into business with local artisans, craftspeople and other producers of unique goods. Investigation and preparations for the establishment of a Made in Mapleton pop up shop were approved by council on May 22.

Industrial lot sold in Palmerston

MINTO - A local business is planning to move to the Palmerston Industrial Park. At the June 8 meeting council authorized the sale of a one-acre parcel of land to Metzger Heating.

Guelph-Eramosa contemplates community improvement plan

BRUCEDALE - Guelph-Eramosa is currently developing a community improvement plan (CIP) officials hope will attract businesses to the township and help current businesses update buildings.

Local Auctioneer Gerald Bowman sold off the contents of Gourlay’s store in Moorefield on June 1. Gourlay’s has been an independent grocer in downtown Moorefield since 1937. Current owner Barry Gourlay decided to close the store due to health issues.
