Impaired driving

WELLINGTON NORTH – On Oct. 15 at about 4:40pm, Wellington County OPP responded to a single-vehicle collision on Highway 6 near Sideroad 5 here.

Gabrielle Rule-Robillard, 24, of Arthur, was charged with driving while impaired by alcohol/drugs and driving while suspended. She is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 19.

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – On Oct. 22 at about 10:30pm, Wellington County OPP officers received a report of a white sedan driving erratically on Highway 7, west of Rockwood.

Jacqueline Fabig, 54, of Niagara Falls, was charged with impaired driving and driving with more than 80mg of alcohol per 100ml of blood in her system. She is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 23.

GUELPH – On Oct. 23 at about 3am, Wellington County OPP officers were conducting a RIDE program on the Hanlon Expressway. Police say officers spoke to the driver of a white SUV and placed them under arrest.

Bleron Gashi, 21, of Ancaster, was charged with driving over 80mg, being a novice driver with a blood-alcohol content above zero, and three G1 licence holder violations (unaccompanied by a qualified driver, carrying a front seat passenger and driving at an unlawful hour). Gashi is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 23.

GUELPH/ERAMOSA – On Oct. 23 at about 4:45am, Wellington County OPP received a report of an unfamiliar sedan parked at a trailer park on Highway 7, west of Guelph.

Rutger G. Visser-Vanderbilt, 75, of Breslau, was charged with driving over 80mg. He is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 23.

ERIN – On Oct. 24 at about 8pm, Wellington County OPP received a report of a multi-vehicle collision on Wellington Road 125 northwest of Acton.

“Initial reports indicated that two sedans had collided and occupants had sustained serious injuries,” police stated in a press release. Police say one female driver was transported with serious injuries to a trauma centre and the second female driver, whom officers suspected “was under the influence of alcohol,” was transported to a local hospital.

Jennifer Lee Plunkett, 27, of Acton, was charged with driving over 80mg, impaired driving causing bodily harm and driving without insurance. She is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 26.

CENTRE WELLINGTON – On Oct. 24 at about 11:45pm, a Wellington County OPP officer stopped the driver of a black sedan on Highway 6, north of Fergus.

Cory Gordon Hatch, 34, of no fixed address, was charged with driving with driving over 80mg. He is to appear in Guelph court on Nov. 23.

In the above incidents the driver’s licence was suspended for 90 days and the vehicle impounded for seven days.
