Idling taxi stolen in Fergus, recovered at Pearson airport

FERGUS – Police are asking for help to find the person(s) responsible for stealing a taxicab here earlier this month.

Wellington County OPP officials say officers responded to a vehicle theft from St Andrew Street West in Fergus on March 6 at about 5am.

Police say someone stole a grey sedan cab “while it idled in front of a business.

“The vehicle was recovered at the Toronto Pearson International Airport (in) Mississauga later that day.”

Police are asking any person with information about this incident to contact the Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
