On June 8-9, Equine Erin and OXC Erin collaborated to host the first annual Horse Day Erin event at the Erin fairgrounds. The event was a success, welcoming over 1,000 visitors locally and from as far away as Sarnia. Horse Day Erin had 20 Extreme Cowboy Clinic participants, 35 vendors and exhibitors, and a wide range of breeds and horse-related presentations. The day was supported by Central Counties Tourism, Grand River Agricultural Society, the County of Wellington, Budson’s – Provisions for Country Living, the Town of Erin, Stewart’s Equipment, the Erin Agricultural Society, Ontario Xtreme Cowboy, McKinnon Timber Mart, Equine Erin and many others. On Sunday the Ontario Xtreme Cowboy Club hosted a full day of racing, attracting 50 competitors from across the province to share in $1,600 in prize money.
