Handgun stolen during break-in at Erin home

ERIN – Police are looking to identify three suspects after a handgun was stolen from a home here earlier this month.

Wellington County OPP officials say police received a report about a break-in on the 9th Line in Erin on Jan. 24.

“It was reported that sometime before [Jan. 22], unknown persons stole a quantity of tools and a handgun,” police stated in a press release.

“Investigators are interested in identifying three Caucasian males, with short dark hair under the approximate age of 25, who may be operating a black sedan, that were observed in the area.”

Police continue to investigate and are asking anyone with information to contact Wellington County OPP at 1-888-310-1122.
